DESCHOOLING- 15th of December

This methodologies of education are illegal in some countries, but not in some others. Today we were told that these methods help the children develope an inner opinion and critic sense.

I personally think school is better, and this is because we get the chance to communicate with other people... lots of people like us. I believe communication is the most important thing in education because we learn from others what we can't learn from us.

Kahoot was the activity we played in the class.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION ORGANIZATION- 12th of January

My good old friend Marcos had to do the presentation by himself just like me... but he did such a good job keeping a cool atmosphere of the class to make sure that everyone kept focused. If i had to choose one word to describe his presentation that would be dynamism.

He chose a kahoot for the activity and we enjoyed it. At the end of the presentation there was a part where he explained his personal opinion... and I firmly believe we all thought of our own.

Not too bad of a History class!

EMANTIPATION OF DENMARK- 11th of December

Today was the very first day that foreign studen's with English as their native language did a presentation. It was about a diferent model of education than here in Spain.

Despite the fact that the presentation was quite interesting what I enjoyed the most was listening to them talking in English so fluently.

All in all I think today was a very important class, because I presonally consider that I learned lots of English.

NEW SCHOOL- 9th of January

This was by far my favourite presentation and the very first one where not only the presentation itself was well structurated yet the explanations from the team members were brilliant.

The talked about Maria Montessori, a woman I already knew about thanks to my own presentation about alternative methodologies in education.

They really made us, the audience, pay attention to what they were saying and at the end we did an activity in which we had to design our own ideal classroom based on diferent key points and directions we were given.

I will always remeber this day as the day I learned that every student is diferent but we have every tool on our hands as teachers to make sure that they get the best education they can dream of.

EMANCIPATION- 8th of January

Today was not diferent from the previous ones... yet the activity came and it was a kahoot or that we though! They presented to us a totally new and challenging soup of letters. It took me a while to find every word but when I finished i felt so happy that i wanted to learn more about emancipation in education.

All in all it was a not bad experiance where we learned a whole new concept: emancipation.

MIDDLE AGES- 1st of December

This presentation was very short, however it was explained perfectly. We all understood why was the Church such an important organization back then.

Yet again the activity consisted of a kahoot... it was ok but a little extracreativity would have been aprecciated.

I think the presentation itself will be very useful in order to study for the test, because it is quite short and self explanatory.

All in all it was a good day in our lovely History class.

4th of December: Alternative methodologies in education (Montessori, Waldorf and Regio Emilia)

This is when I did my presentation about the most known pedological alternatives in education. It was focused on the characteristics of this alternative way of learning. In this alternatives, the teacher is considered as a guide for the students and his main purpose is to maintain a good atmosphere in the class so that the students can develope their inner abilities from positivism and creativity. I went thought 3 of them: Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia. People were amazed by the fact that in Montessori schools they did not take any exams. They also found insanely atractive the way these children had more freedom when studying.
At the end of the presentation, I divided the class in teams so that they had to answer(giving reasons)diferent questions of interest about the presentation and their thoughts.

It was a fun day, and I believe we all learned something new about education in a more dynamic way.
